Six Personal Protection Knowledge to Keep in Mind

1. Adhere to wearing masks correctly

Develop a good habit of carrying and wearing a mask with you. Experts suggest that people must wear masks in all indoor and outdoor public places. High-risk personnel engaged in medical and health, public services, as well as the elderly and infirm, children, patients with chronic diseases, etc., should especially wear masks correctly.

2. Keep safe social distance

Pay attention to keeping a social safety distance of more than 6 feet from others in public places. In places with high passenger flow, such as public stations, queues should be ordered to avoid congestion.

3. Maintain personal hygiene

Use running water with soap or hand sanitizer to wash your hands, or use a disinfectant to disinfect your hands. Do not touch your mouth, eyes, or nose before cleaning your hands. Cover your cough or sneeze with your elbow or tissue. Don’t spit anywhere, wrap your nose and mouth secretions with tissues and put them in the trash.

4. Good indoor ventilation

Rooms and offices should be well ventilated to avoid air pollution. Before using the air conditioner in winter, it should be cleaned and disinfected as necessary, and a certain amount of air flow and natural ventilation should be maintained.

5. Safe and hygienic diet

Go to a regular supermarket to buy fresh products. When purchasing, you can use disposable plastic bags to cover your hands and then choose frozen chilled food. Avoid direct contact with food with your hands and wear a mask at the same time. Keep vegetables and raw meat separate; raw ingredients should be cooked thoroughly. Keep your hands clean when shopping, handling food, and before and after meals.

6. Take extra care when going out

Stop going to work with illness. People with fever or respiratory symptoms should avoid going out or taking public transportation as much as possible, especially those who have had close contact with patients with fever or respiratory infections recently.
